The Blog That Blogged Me is just something I came up with. I will be posting entries about everything from video games and cartoons to current events and the latest technologies. Basically anything goes, the only defining characteristic of my posts is that they will all be about things that interest me.
I am experimenting with stop motion animation right now so I may be posting some vids in the coming weeks. The concept of stop motion is not new to me but I was never really motivated to try it. I bought the new PS3 Eye camera over the weekend and downloaded EyeCreate for it. EyeCreate is a cool little program that allows you to both capture and edit photos and video.
You can combine videos, audio, and/or photos together to make a longer movie, add visual effects that range from simple color filters to tripped out distortions. It lacks some of the features that windows movie maker has (like adding text to a frame for example) but you can always transfer the videos onto a PC from the PS3 and edit them if you want.
Anyway, the feature I am most interested in is the stop motion mode. It basically turns the PS3 into a stop motion movie maker. In stop motion mode it shows a small preview on screen of what the camera sees and you press the X button on the gamepad to snap a shot. So if you can navigate a few menus and press a button you can make your own stop motion movies!
You can record audio later using the PSEye as well and then combine it with your movie. I don't think you can import audio into the program though, so if you wanted to add music you would have to do it in windows movie maker.
Well, I rambled on for long enough, this was supposed to be a small intro post!
